Chiron's Cave: The Healers Journey into Healing:
Research suggests that modern healthcare professionals are experiencing escalating levels of stress, burnout and professional demoralization. Unfortunately, although we learn enormous amounts of factual information in our professional schools, we are typically not well prepared for the challenges inherent to being a healer. The Greek mythological story of Chiron, the wounded and remarkable healer, provides a narrative roadmap that assists each of us on our personal journey towards becoming a healer. Chiron's story is as relevant today as it was three thousand years ago, and provides practical insights into the attributes of a healer and techniques for developing these attributes.
The public is welcome to attend the lecture and discussion
