Do you know a Child that may have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)?
Medical Researchers at UCSD are currently conducting a research study to evaluate a research drug for Children with ADHD
Participants must be at least 6 years of age and no older than 17
Symptoms of ADHD may include:
- Being easily distracted - Difficulty sustaining attention
- Difficulty awaiting turn - Difficulty organizing tasks
- Making careless mistakes - Acting as if "driven by a motor"
- Impulsive behavior - Often losing things
- Forgetfulness
Medical researchers at UCSD are currently conducting a clinical research study to evaluate an investigational non-stimulant treatment for ADHD as an add-on to current stimulant medication therapy.
If you qualify for the study, medical and psychiatric evaluations and the study drug and study procedures will be provided at no cost. Participants will be randomized to receive either the study drug (with active study medication) or a placebo (without medication) for about 2 months. Eligible participants will also receive some financial compensation for their time.
