The Intergroup Relations Program announces Speak Out! Tritons for a Hate-Free Campus Week April 21-25.

Monday, April 21
Marshall Arts 10:00am-4:00pm; Marshall College Student Affairs Office Expressions of Social Justice Through Art. Witness social justice in action as student artists create relevant pieces in real time. Sponsored by Thurgood Marshall College Student Affairs.

Tuesday, April 22
Speak Out Rally featuring transcenDANCE 11:00am-1:30pm; Sun God Lawn Speak out against hate and bias! Speakers, entertainment including transcenDANCE (a local youth arts project), FREE community building BBQ (vegetarian friendly), cultural bead station, wall of prejudice, wall of hope, art exhibit, and resource tables. You will not want to miss it! Sponsored by Intergroup Relations Program with numerous co-sponsors.

Wednesday, April 23
Conscious Comedy 6:15pm-8:00pm; The Porter's Pub Stage Comedy mixes with social consciousness. Comics Mark Christopher Lawrence, Gulden, Dat Phan, and Steve Mittleman will make you laugh to make you think.

Thursday, April 24
Take Back the Night Rally 7:00pm; Price Center Plaza "Shatter the Silence. Be a part of the Solution." A rally against sexual assault, domestic violence and rape. Includes a musical performance, keynote speaker Angela Rose, open mic session, candle light vigil, and protest march. Sponsored by AS Women's Alliance.

Friday, April 25
Social Action Theatre Troupe: SERIOUS Comedy! 7:00pm; Price Center Ballroom The UCSD Social Action Theatre Troupe performs a series of satirical skits that dramatize the impact of stereotypes and bias on individuals and on campus climate. Student actors also share their own personal experience with these issues. Refreshments and a facilitated audience discussion will follow the performance. Co-sponsored by Intergroup Relations Program and Express to Success.

Stop The Hate: Open Mic Night 6:30pm-8:30pm; Cross Cultural Center An open mic night for students, staff, and faculty to share their talents and promote hate-free speech! Join us for light refreshments, poetry, music, and socializing in hopes of speaking out against hate on campus! Co-sponsored by Social Science and Humanities Library and African American Studies Minor.
