Steven Schick conducts the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus’s season-opening concert, featuring two works on anybody’s “Top 25” list – Bartok’s “Miraculous Mandarin” and Beethoven’s “Seventh Symphony.” We welcome soprano Susan Narucki in her first appearance with the orchestra in a favorite work by Osvaldo Goijov. The program begins with Bartok’s charming “Romanian Folk Dances.” Pre-concert lecture by noted program annotator ERIC BROMBERGER one hour prior to concert times.
