User Support, Part 2: IT Policies Intended for: New and experienced UCSD Information Technology System Administrators. In this class, you will learn about UC and UCSD policies governing the use of Information Technology at UCSD. You will be introduced to the issues addressed by local department policies, with particular attention to user support at the departmental level. A student assessment will be required for successful completion of the course. Note: This is a two-part course. Participants must attend both days in order to earn credit for the course. Required Preparation:
* Successful completion of Level 1 certification is required. Note: This class is part of the Systems Administration Certification (Level 2) of the UCSD SysAdmin Training Series. When you have completed all 3 classes, be sure to request your certificate. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Desktop Shipping: Saving Time and Money When Sending Documents and Small
Packages Intended for: Individuals holding the role of Business Assistant. Save time and money. About Blink 2.0 Intended for: Blink users. In this class you will learn tips for using the new Blink 2.0 - finding the tools you need, using the Calendar and Map features, making the most of search, and more. You will also have an opportunity to provide feedback to the Portal Services Team about Blink 2.0 and its new features. Communicating Across Generations in the Workplace Intended for: Anyone interested in understanding how to work more effectively with others across generations. UC San Diego prides itself on being a diverse community. In fact, four distinct generations work side-by-side on our campus. This workshop will explore the differences in and similarities among the generations and how they affect our working relationships, so we can all work more effectively with one another. Topics Include:
