Yager, Ph.D., who is a Clinical Professor from the department of Psychiatry at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Yager is a clinical psychologist whose research interests include treatments using suggestive and analytical hypnosis, as well as Subliminal Therapy, to resolve a wide variety of presenting problems.
Topic: Hypnosis: A Path to Better Health Do you have presenting problems that you would like improve upon or make a behavior change for the better? For thousands of years, people have recognized the power of hypnosis to enhance learning, heal emotional scars, improve performance, change habits and speed the healing process. Every experience in life has an effect on us. The effect may be miniscule or dramatic, but even if miniscule, if there are many and related experiences, the accumulated influence can be significant. Hypnosis in its essence consists of re-conditioning unconscious processes to achieve the consciously desired goal. Why is change sometimes difficult? Most habits, beliefs and attitudes are maintained and stored in the unconscious mind - and most people are trying to change consciously. Hypnosis is direct unconscious communication. In this presentation, Dr. Yager will talk about his specific blend of theory and practice within his own extensive clinical practice regarding the use of hypnosis to re-condition unconscious processes to accomplish the desired change. Since 1974, Dr. Yager has also taught courses in the clinical application of hypnosis for the UC San Diego School of Medicine and is an author of the book: "Foundations of Clinical Hypnosis, from Theory to Practice." If you would like to make an appointment with Dr. Yager, you may contact his office at (619) 299-4070. Additional information about Dr. Yager's work, may be viewed on his web page: www.docyager.com.
