A. S. Soft Reserves
Hello! A. S. Soft Reserves is an Associated Students enterprise created
solely to assist students in their academic pursuits. As Summer Session II
2009 continues, the preparations for Fall Quarter 2009 begin.
Fall 2006 we started our No Reader Left Behind policy: After our initial
order has sold out, students have the option to "request" the reader. They
pre-pay for it and within 2 business days they can pick it up from our
request window‹no waiting in the regular line.
Fall 2007 we started Online Sales! Your students will have the option of
paying online and then picking up their materials. The materials are
available within 2 business days and they¹re notified via email when their
materials are available for pick-up.
Winter 2008 we started a Price Center pick-up site. When your students
purchase the materials online, they will have the option of picking up their
materials from either our office in the Student Center or from a kiosk in
the Price CenterŠwhichever location is more convenient for them.
What can we photocopy?
*course anthologies(copyrighted)
*lab manuals/course syllabi
*exam solutions/sample exams
*professors notes/overheads *homework questions/solutions
What do we charge? *non-copyrighted materials: 8¢ per page (+ a binding fee if over 100 pgs)
*copyrighted materials: 10¢ per page + permission fees + a binding fee
(the price is capped at 20¢ per page for copyrighted course anthologies)
Deadline to guarantee availability the first day of classes (September
24th):
Copyrighted materials: Tuesday, September 8th
Non-copyrighted materials: Monday, September 21st
We welcome materials at any time during the quarter! Our normal turnaround
times:
Copyrighted materials: approximately a week
Non-Copyrighted materials: Next day if brought in before 3pm!
We offer one free desk copy for every 25 copies sold!

A.S. Soft Reserves is located in Student Center A, Room 122, or we can
pick-up materials--just call! Summer Hours: M-Th 10am ­ 4pm, F 10am-2pm
Regular session hours:
Hours: M-Th 9am ­ 6 pm, F 9am ­ 5pm and Saturday 10am-2pm (0, 1st & 2nd
weeks only)
Extended 1st week hours: M-Th 8am - 7pm, F 8am - 6pm
