The Sports Facilities Department, a division of Students Affairs, would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the grand opening of the RIMAC Annex on Monday, September 21, 2009 from 12noon to 2pm. The RIMAC Annex is UCSD's newest destination with retail opportunities at Peet's Coffee and Tea, the ShortStop Convenience Store and HomePlate, a café, soon to open in late Fall/early Winter. The RIMAC Annex is located along Ridgewalk at the highest point of campus.

The newly improved Softball facilities include pro-style dugouts, new bullpens, bleacher seating and press box. The Dugout Conference Room houses amazing views of the softball field. The Champion's Lounge and Glider Lounge offer great views of the ocean, mountains and playing fields.

The RIMAC Annex has taken proactive steps towards sustainability. Cooled by tempered air, the Annex takes advantage of its location and the natural environment. Check out our "Big Ass" fans which help circulate the breezes throughout the building. Eligible for Silver LEED certification, the RIMAC Annex is doing its part to move the campus toward a greener future.
