Instructor: ERNIE MENDES
Search keyword: emotionalintelligence

Intended for: Managers or aspiring managers who want to increase their interpersonal effectiveness with all types of employees and understand the significant role of emotional intelligence in leading employees to optimal performance.

Current research in organizations shows that what sets the star leaders apart from others is a set of competencies known as emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence can be learned and improved over time, as opposed to traditional intelligence that is generally stable over time. The ability to manage one's own emotions, thoughts, stress levels, and to effectively communicate with others is crucial to all bottom line results. These skills are at the heart of successful leadership, teamwork, performance management, and organizational climate.

Managers find it important to possess an awareness of others' feelings and needs, and to know how to bolster their abilities. This heightened awareness of others opens the door to positive influence, resolving disagreements, and inspiring others. Emotional intelligence is valuable in managing change through the ongoing nurturing of relationships, and it is also necessary for the collaboration and cooperation required to move toward shared goals.

In this course, you will learn how to build more effective relationships, decrease stress, and increase flexibility in times of change. You will experience the effects of a positive focus and learn a formula for resiliency and increased optimistic thinking. You will also learn key ways to build rapport with anyone.
