This web-based application makes it much easier to complete and track the necessary data. Users are required to identify index at time shipment is generated and each shipment is directly connected to a specific individual.

Carrier shipping labels are printed from your desktop system to your plain paper printer, and all of the invoices are paid electronically and charged to the index indicated at the time the shipment is created.

This course is intended to be an introduction to basic budgeting principles and acceptable financial practices and does not include training on transfer of funds systems. It provides the basic concepts for recommended fiscal practices at UCSD as they relate to permanent budgeting, staffing, overdraft prevention, and fiscal year-end closing requirements.

Through participating in this course, you will:

* Increase your awareness of the state and campus budget processes
* Better understand the differences between permanent and operating budgets
