Dear Campus Colleagues,

The third annual Alumni Weekend will be held Friday, June 17 to Sunday, June 19, 2011. Last year’s Alumni Weekend brought over 1,500 alumni, their families and guests back to campus for an extravaganza of alumni reunions, receptions, campus tours, awards and special events including the popular Alumni Family Night at Birch Aquarium, the Alumni Surfing Invitational, and the annual Alumni Awards Celebration. This year’s weekend will be our greatest ever as it marks the final event of the year-long 50th Anniversary celebrations!

As a valued campus partner with UCSD Alumni, we encourage you to join us in planning programs and events during Alumni Weekend to encourage our 130,000 alumni to return to campus. If your calendar allows, plan your board meeting or annual reception during this weekend and invite alumni back to participate, or create a reunion activity. Our office will work with you to assist with the necessary resources, marketing and promotions for your programs. If you already have programs and events planned during this time, please let us know and we can include them on the Alumni Weekend calendar and in our marketing collateral.
