This conference is held in anticipation of the tenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks and the war on terror. Rather than descriptive or denunciatory depictions of the reactions to 9/11, the conference will offer a broad theoretical framework; rather than focusing on either domestic or foreign aspects, it will examine the war on terror as an integrated whole; it will highlight continuities that supersede any president, party, or government.
