SUBJECT: Options to Balance the University Budget
The University is considering several options in an effort to resolve next year's budget deficit. Among the options affecting employees are pay cuts, workforce cuts, benefit cuts, and an early retirement program.
Special Briefings on plans which will be considered by The Regents, at their meeting March 18 and 19, will be held as follows:
Monday, March 15 3:30p-4:30p Garren Auditorium
Thursday, March 18 10:00a-11:00a Medical Center Auditorium
Thursday, March 18 2:00p-3:00p Price Center, Ballroom A
At these Briefings I will describe the plans under consideration and answer questions. I urge you or a representative of your department to attend one of the Briefings. After The Regents' meeting, we will send out a Notice announcing The Regents' actions.
