SUBJECT: Assistant Vice Chancellor - Personnel
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Rogers Davis as
the new Assistant Vice Chancellor - Personnel, succeeding
Quelda Wilson who elected retirement under the University's
early retirement program.
Mr. Davis is currently the Director of Human Resources at
the University of Pennsylvania, and prior to that was the
Assistant Director for Personnel at Georgetown University.
He has an extensive background in human resource management,
and has developed a number of initiatives in response to an
environment of declining resources.
Mr. Davis' appointment will be effective July 6, 1993. I
believe you will find him to be an excellent addition to the
University of California, San Diego.
