KEY ADMINISTRATORS/KEY SUPPORT STAFF
Vice Chancellor Caserio and I are pleased to confirm
that the Board of Regents at its January meeting approved the
appointment of Professor Robert W. Conn as the Dean of the
School of Engineering, succeeding Dr. M. Lea Rudee, who will
return to full-time teaching and research in Electrical and
Computer Engineering.
Dr. Conn has been a member of the University of California
community since 1980, joining the faculty of UCLA as
Professor of mechanical, aerospace, and nuclear engineering,
and, for the past few years, serving as Director of the
Institute of Plasma and Fusion Research.
Dr. Conn's appointment as Dean is effective immediately. Please join me in wishing him every success in his new
