SUBJECT: 1993-94 Staff Award Programs
Pursuant to recently issued Employee Recognition Program Policies (MAP 31,
A&PS 141.14 and SPP 305.27), UCSD is proposing to establish a new Employee
Recognition Program. Under this program, individual departments or Vice
Chancellor/Dean/Director areas may establish targeted programs to reward
outstanding performance. The establishment and funding of such programs
are being done in lieu of proceeding with the campuswide award programs
(MAP Incentive Awards, A&PS Professional Awards and Staff Awards).
Details regarding the timing, eligibility requirements, funding level and
award criteria are currently under consideration by Vice
Chancellor/Dean/Director areas. Once such details are known, affected
employees will be provided further information. It is anticipated that such
awards would be granted early in fiscal year 1994-95 in recognition of
1993-94 performance.
