SUBJECT: UCSD Technology Transfer Office
I am pleased to announce that, effective immediately, the Technology Transfer Office at UCSD, under the direction of Dr. Martin Rachmeler, now has responsibility for the full management of inventions and tangible research property arising from research conducted by the campus.
Investigators should send all Disclosures of Inventions to the local office at UCSD, Mail Code 0093, now located at 411 University Center, diagonally southeast of the Price Center. All questions regarding intellectual property should be directed to that office, phone 534-5815, fax 534-7345.
Existing cases at the Systemwide Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) in Alameda will continue to be managed by OTT. UCSD will, on a gradual and as needed basis, move cases from OTT to the San Diego office.
We all welcome this long sought change and anticipate improved service to the needs of our investigators as a result of this reassignment of responsibility.
