UCSD Colleagues:
In an effort to gauge UCSD's full economic impact, we have retained a research team from the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies to determine the full extent to which local companies and products are spin-offs of UCSD faculty, staff, student, and alumni research and other creative activity. With this information, we can better communicate the benefits of UCSD's research and enterprise to elected officials, the business community, the voting public, and others whose support we need.
If you can provide information or leads regarding such spin-offs, please do so by filling out the attached questionnaire. If you have any questions, please contact Winifred Cox in University Communications (x40363), or either of us.
