According to the SD Chamber of Commerce, by the year 2015 San Diego's population will grow by one million, an increase of 49%. Vehicle emissions account for 64% of all air pollution, despite improvements in vehicle technology. UCSD's Transportation Alternatives offers commuters, money saving programs and incentives, in an effort to reduce the number of SOV's (single occupant vehicles). VANPOOLS - Students employed part-time at UCSD are eligible to ride in vanpools! Seats are available from most SD County areas.
