SUBJECT: UCSD Casual Dress Days
This notice serves to announce the continuation of "Casual Dress Day" for the UCSD community. This year the "Casual Dress Day" will occur every Friday from July 1 through September 5, 1997.
Casual dress is defined as shoes and clothing designed for informal or relaxed occasions. Examples consistent with standards set for each diverse work environment should be provided by the Vice Chancellors or their designees. In units where dress standards are currently relaxed, there will be little or no impact of "Casual Dress Day." However, in departments where the standard is traditional business attire, employees may welcome the opportunity to function in a more relaxed and casual atmosphere during the warm summer months.
