SUBJECT: "Off The Wall Street Dance"
The fifteenth annual OFF THE WALL STREET DANCE will be held on Sunday, August 31 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM! Between Gerard and Ivanhoe in La Jolla, Wall Street will once again be transformed into a huge celebration of summer with games, food, drink, music and fun for all. This year UCSD is celebrating twenty five years of graduating physicians. The 25th Anniversary represents the graduation of over 2,500 physicians since the School of Medicine opened in 1968. When you join the festivities at Off The Wall, everybody benefits because the proceeds from your entrance ticket donation and from the food and game booths suppport UCSD School of Medicine and UCSD Medical Center. In the past, Off The Wall Foundation UCSD has provided support for the care of newborns and infants in the Department of Pediatrics, and contributed a new trauma operating room to the
UCSD Regional Trauma Center in memory of OTW Founder and UCSD School of Medicine Associate Dean, the late Dr. Jack Farris. The Off The Wall Foundation UCSD has also created a 10-year scholarship, making a commitment to provide scholarship funding to a deserving 4th year medical student specializing in pediatric care or general family medicine.
As part of this year's celebration, the entrance donation has been reduced. Tickets will be available at the gate for a $5.00 donation; children under 12 accompanied by a parent will be admitted free. No tickets will be available in advance this year.
