SUBJECT: "New" United Parcel Service (UPS)
United Parcel Service (UPS) is now being offered through Mail Services. Our new state-of-the-art UPS computer system makes managing the shipping and tracking of UPS domestic and international letters and packages more convenient for our customers. The service is now located on campus at the Campus Service Complex, Building A, and no longer requires packages to be routed to the Shipping Department at 7835 Trade Street. (With a few exceptions- see below.)
HOW TO USE THE UPS SERVICE
You will no longer be required to fill out the five part shipping memo form. The only requirement we have for using this service is that you place your index number on the top right hand corner of your letter or box, indicate type of service required, and "UPS" underneath. You can then place your item in the outgoing mail bin for pick up. Items cannot exceed our weight limitations of 70 lbs. or our size limitations of 108" 
combined length and girth.
     
EXCEPTIONS
The following shipments will still require processing by the Shipping 
Department at 7835 Trade Street as you normally do now.  (Requires Shipping 
Memo and pick up by calling Shipping at 536-3225 x244)
     
1.      All packages exceeding the weight and size limitations 
2.      Hazardous material
3.      Dry Ice Shipments
4.      Dutiable Shipments (International)

With this new service, UPS offers a variety of envelopes and boxes in 
various sizes that will help you completely prepare your item(s) for 
shipment.  You can call Mail Services at x41164 and request free supplies.
