SUBJECT: Town Meeting and Diversity Address
Please note that Chancellor Dynes is scheduled to speak to the campus at
the following dates and times:
TOWN HALL MEETING
A Town Hall meeting is scheduled to take place today from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
at the Price Center Theatre. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss
issues and concerns raised about our campus commencement and related matters. DIVERSITY ADDRESS
A Diversity Address is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 1, 1998,
beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Institute of the Americas. The purpose of
this meeting, as stated in the campus notice dated May 21,1998, is to
address the campus community on the important topic of Diversity at UCSD.
The Vice Chancellors will join him for this discussion of actions stemming
from the Diversity Commission Report, and other strategies for achieving a
greater diversity at UCSD.
The Chancellor welcomes everyone's comments and suggestions on these
matters and encourages everyone to join him in further dialogue.
