ACADEMIC SENATE MEMBERS
SUBJECT: Burma Memorial Ballot
The systemwide Academic Senate mail ballot regarding the Memorial to the Regents asking for divestment of shares in companies doing business with Burma was completed May 21, 1999. Approximately 22% of the eligible members voted to defeat the measure.
The result of the vote is as follows:
FOR:	1,363
AGAINST:	1,552	John M. Goodkind, Chair
