SUBJECT: Appointment of Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Life
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Renee Barnett Terry has agreed to serve as Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Life in addition to her regular duties as Revelle College Dean of Student Affairs, effective August 1, 1999. During her one-year appointment, Dean Barnett Terry, in coordination with her colleagues in Student Affairs and other members of the campus, will proactively address matters of student life and experiences. One of her areas of focus will be collaborative initiatives to develop college based and campuswide programs to increase the communications, leadership and interpersonal skills of students. She will also conduct special outreach efforts to underrepresented students to ensure that all UCSD students experience the campus as welcoming and responsive to their needs, interests, and aspirations.
Please join me in welcoming Dean Barnett Terry to her new duties.
