SUBJECT:  Academic Salary Scales
                     PPM 230-40

Attached are the 1999/2000 academic salary scales effective October 1, 1999. The salary scales reflect an approximate 2% range adjustment for all academic employees and an approximate .9% parity increase for appointees in the professorial and professional research titles series. Above-scale faculty will receive a combined range/parity adjustment of 2.9%. Off-scale faculty will receive the same percentage increase accorded the corresponding on-scale rank and step.

Manual Holders should route a copy of this issuance to the Department Chair and any other individuals needing information on academic salaries.
