SUBJECT:    Division of Biology Dean Search

Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Founding Dean of the newly formed Division of Biology.

A search is now commencing for the Dean of the Division of Biology. Membership of the Search Committee is listed below. Candidates must hold full-time, senior level, tenured UCSD faculty appointments, or have the academic qualifications sufficient to justify such an appointment. The Dean will be appointed to serve at 100% time for a five-year term, renewable following appropriate review.

The Search Committee will begin reviewing nominations and applications on March 1, 2000, and continue until the position is filled. Applications (resume and names of references) and nominations should be submitted to:
