ALL STUDENTS AT UCSD
SUBJECT: Reaffirmation of UCSD's Commitment to Ensuring Workplace Safety
In this time of increased societal concerns about workplace safety, we want to reassure each of you that UCSD is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all faculty, staff and students. In keeping with this continuing commitment, you should be aware that any reported threats of physical violence will be taken seriously and investigated. Such threats are considered serious misconduct and may be the basis for disciplinary action. When there are reasons to be concerned that the health, safety or well-being of members of the University community are endangered, a licensed mental health practitioner may be called upon to evaluate the individual making the threat.
If you or someone you know receives a threat of physical violence from someone inside or outside the UCSD community, please report it immediately to one of the following offices:
In case of an emergency, please dial 911 for Campus Police
MEDICAL CENTER HILLCREST and THORNTON
Faculty and Staff:
In case of an emergency, Thornton employees may also dial 6111 for Campus Police.
Violence, whether actual or threatened, undermines our ability to work and learn. Please assist in ensuring that our campus is a safe environment for all members of the University Community.
