SUBJECT:  Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and
Diversity Awards Nominations

The purpose of this Notice is to announce the 1999-2000 Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Awards Program. This Program has been designed to recognize employees, departments or organizational units who have made an outstanding contribution in any or all of these areas at UCSD during the past year (November 1999 through October 2000). Therefore, all members of the campus community are invited and encouraged to nominate staff colleagues who are deserving and meet a certain criteria.

A Review Panel of representatives chosen by the Chancellor and Vice Chancellors will evaluate all eligible nominations and recommend recipients to Chancellor Robert C. Dynes. Accordingly, the employees will be recognized and awards will be presented by the Chancellor to each recipient during the annual ceremony to be held on November 30, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the Price Center.
