ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UCSD

SUBJECT:  1999-2000 UCSD Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and
                     Diversity Award Program Recipients

On behalf of Chancellor Robert C. Dynes, I am pleased to announce the 1999-2000 UCSD Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Award Program recipients.

In October, the 1999-2000 Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Award Program was announced to the UCSD community. The announcement invited and encouraged nominations to recognize those individuals, departments and organizational units who have made outstanding contributions to the diversification of the UCSD career staff work force during the November 1, 1999 to October 31, 2000 affirmative action reporting period. A review committee comprised of representatives from the Chancellor's Office and each Vice Chancellor's area evaluated the nominations and recommended this year's award recipients.

A Ceremony and Reception will be on Thursday, November 30, at 2:00 p.m. in the Price Center Ballroom to recognize the following 1999-2000 Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Award recipients:
