SUBJECT: Effective Fiscal Administration
An informative session regarding fiscal administration and fiscal closing will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Administrative Conference Room 111A. Representatives from the Campus Budget Office, the Controller's Office, General Accounting and the Office of Post Award Financial Services will present a general overview of fiscal administration, fiscal closing and related topics.
Specific topics to be discussed include: State of California guidelines, carry forward of fund balances/deficits, effective fiscal administrative practices related to permanent and current year budgets, overdraft balances, operating ledger responsibilities, and recommended fiscal administration best practices.
This session is intended for financial managers, department bookkeepers and management services officers.
