KEY ADMINISTRATORS/KEY SUPPORT STAFF (Including UCSD Healthcare)

SUBJECT:  Vacation Accruals

This notice is provided to communicate a change in the accrual of vacation hours for eligible employees on pay status less than 50 percent of the working hours in a month. Those subject to this change will now accrue vacation on a prorated basis for all hours on work and pay status. Eligible employees' Leave Activity Summary Reports (LASR) will reflect this change in the accrual of vacation hours commencing in July 2001.

Employees covered by the following UC Policies and Collective Bargaining agreements will earn vacation based on hours on pay status even if those hours fall below 50 percent of the working hours in the month: UC Personnel Policies for Staff Members/UCPPSM (99), AFSCME (EX), AFSCME (SX), CNA (NX), CUE (CX), Skilled Craft (K6), UPTE (HX), UPTE (RX), and UPTE (TX).
