KEY ADMINISTRATORS/KEY SUPPORT STAFF SUBJECT: Expanded Electronic Course Reserves Services The UCSD Libraries will offer expanded electronic course reserves services for textual materials effective this fall. At no cost to faculty or students, textual materials such as journal articles that are required reading for courses can be displayed on the Libraries' e-reserves Web site at http://reserves.ucsd.edu. All campus libraries stand ready to work with you to implement this convenient and popular new service.
The Libraries continue to offer the Digital Image Reserves Program,
featuring images from the Libraries' collections of art slides or books,
and the Digital Audio Reserves Program, featuring digital music files in
support of courses offered by the Music Department. Video reserves and
viewing facilities are available at the Film and Video Library. Digital
Video Reserves are planned but not yet available. Full information
about the Libraries' course reserves services, including an online
submission form, is available at The Libraries are pleased to be part of the Instructional Materials Services and Plans (IMSP) Group*, an association of campus departments that supply UCSD faculty with materials and services needed for instruction. Textbooks, reserves, printing, duplication, course packets, and Web site assistance: the IMSP group provides these services and more. A leaflet guide to these services is being mailed this week to all faculty and to departmental MSOs. A mailing to Teaching Assistants via departmental Graduate Coordinators will follow. Copies of the leaflet also are available from all IMSP members, or visit the IMSP web site at http://coursematerials.ucsd.edu for more information.
