ACADEMIC SENATE MEMBERS

SUBJECT:  Study Center Director Recruitment for Australia and Chile

The Universitywide Office of the Education Abroad Program (UOEAP) currently has openings for Study Center Directorships in Australia and Chile.

At each site, the Study Center Director serves as administrator of the center, provides academic and general counseling for enrolled UC students, implements UC academic policy, serves as Instructor of Record for all academic work undertaken by EAP students, assures harmonious relations with UC's partner universities, and facilitates exchange provisions of agreements. Fluency in the language of the host country and a broad knowledge of the host country are required.

Tenured UC faculty, including lecturers with security of employment, and emeriti professors are eligible to apply. The deadline for receipt of completed applications is Friday, March 22, 2002.
