SUBJECT:  Purchasing Surplus Goods

UCSD Surplus Sales sells used furniture, computers, equipment, and other items to UCSD and the outside community. This facility is located at 7835 Trade Street, Suite 100, San Diego, CA and is open to the public every Wednesday from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Surplus Sales makes deliveries and picks up material from UCSD Departments and debits/credits departmental index numbers for purchases and sales. Please visit their new Blink website at http://surplus.ucsd.edu for procedures on how to use this service and to browse items currently available for sale.

In addition to the UCSD Surplus Sales facility, the UCSD community has the ability to purchase used items from the State of California, Department of General Services (DGS), Surplus Property Program that is located at 701 Burning Tree Road, Suite 1, Fullerton, CA 92833. When UCSD employees purchase items from this facility, it is important to follow established procedures to ensure that billing can be properly processed. For convenience, it is advised that UCSD Departments check UCSD Surplus Sales inventory for used items before going to Fullerton.
