SUBJECT:  2001-2002 UCSD Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and
                     Diversity Award Recipients

On behalf of Chancellor Robert C. Dynes, I am pleased to announce the 2001-2002 UCSD Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Award recipients.

In October, the 2001-2002 Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Award Program was announced to the UCSD community. The announcement invited and encouraged nominations to recognize those individuals, departments and organizational units who have made outstanding contributions to the diversification of the UCSD career staff work force during the November 1, 2001 to October 31, 2002 affirmative action reporting period. A review committee comprised of representatives from the Chancellor's Office and each Vice Chancellor's area evaluated the nominations and recommended this year's award recipients.

A Ceremony and Reception to recognize the following 2001-2002 Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Award recipients will be held on Tuesday, December 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the Price Center Ballroom B:
