OFFICE OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR - October 27, 2003
SUBJECT: Campus Closure on Tuesday, October 28, 2003 At this time, UCSD remains safe from fires in the San Diego region and there is no indication of the need to evacuate. However, given continuing concerns related to the San Diego fires and the well-being of our students, faculty, and staff, UCSD will remain closed on Tuesday, October 28th. Classes have been canceled on Tuesday and only UCSD healthcare and other essential employees should report to work. Essential employees are those who have an "essential" or "emergency responder" designation on their ID card, support our residential students, or assist with other emergency duties. For updated information, please access the campus emergency information line at (888) 308-8273 or the general information line at (858) 534-2230. You can also receive updated information and helpful resources at http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/emergency. We want to thank the staff and faculty who have worked throughout the past several days to provide essential services to students, patients and the community.
