SUBJECT:  Proposed Revised Specialist Series Salary Scale

The University invites comments on the proposed revised Specialist Series salary scale.

This proposal was circulated to the campus for formal review on April 7, 2003, along with several other academic personnel policies on research titles. The Office of the President issued the new and revised policies, effective August 1, 2003. However, they have held the Specialist Series salary scale pending an inquiry from some non-represented academic appointees claiming that affected employees were not notified of the proposal. The new proposed effective date for the revised salary scale is July 1, 2004.

To ensure adequate notice, the Office of the President has asked that we again circulate this proposal for formal review.
