SUBJECT: Implementation of the Overdraft Reporting
The Overdraft Team for SPEAR, working with ACT, has developed a new overdraft reporting and monitoring process to facilitate the stewardship responsibilities of Administrative Officials. The overdraft reporting process will begin in April with the first overdraft reports being available in FinancialLink after the April ledger close date, May 2.
In anticipation of the April implementation date, three overdraft process and system orientations have been scheduled.
These orientations will assist the users in their understanding of the system and in setting up overdraft report profiles. The presentations are designed for those individuals with responsibilities directly related to fund management. This would include such positions as Fund Manager, Financial Manager, MSO, and unit manager as well as those positions with fiscal oversight responsibilities in the Deans', Vice Chancellors' and Controller's Offices.
For additional information regarding the overdraft process and the
reporting system, you may access any of the following at:
1. The Overdraft Policy that provides definitive guidance to assist administrative officials regarding overdrafts.
2. A description of the Overdraft Process and how to use the Overdraft Reporting System.
