SUBJECT:  CONSTRUCTION ALERT - Voigt Drive

Facilities Design & Construction has just learned today that it will be necessary for the contractor to begin the water and sewer line construction along Voigt Drive associated with the Cal(IT)2 and Computer Science Engineering projects. Under normal circumstances, we would have given the campus a much earlier warning, but due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to accommodate this practice. We hope the inconvenience is temporary and not disruptive.

Work will occur Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, beginning Monday, June 16, and is expected to be completed by the end of July. During the daily construction period, Voigt Drive will be restricted to one lane, and will be reopened to two lanes after 3:30 pm. There will be traffic control in place to assist with the traffic; however, delays should be anticipated. This construction will take place along Voigt, in front of the Cal(IT)2 and Computer Science Engineering projects, between Engineering Lane and Justice Lane.
