ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UCSD (excluding UCSD Healthcare)

SUBJECT:  REMINDER: Change in Delivery Procedures for Inbound
                     Priority Packages

Effective September 1, 2003 and in an effort to improve service and vendor accountability, Mail Services will no longer accept incoming PRIORITY/OVERNIGHT envelopes or perishable items from Federal Express, Airborne, California Overnight and Golden State. Mail Services will continue to assist these carriers with identifying the destination of shipments that may have undeliverable addresses.

You may contact Federal Express directly at 1-800-463-3339 or through the Mail Services website at http://www-bfs.ucsd.edu/mails/ and Airborne at 1-800-247-2676 if you have questions regarding their service or to track a package.

Please inform the vendor/shipper/colleague how to properly address packages to you. Below is a sample of the proper address to be used for incoming shipments including perishable items for destinations on Campus:
