I am pleased to announce the addition of a new feature that provides faculty and staff with the ability to add "Assistant" data to the online campus directory. This enhancement will improve efficiency by letting everyone know who to contact to set up meetings and conference calls. It will also be of tremendous help to calendar coordinators and meeting schedulers who often spend substantial amounts of time on figuring out who to contact.
The Update Directory Listing screen has been revised to allow entry of the Assistant information by entering the Assistant's name. The name, phone number, and location will be populated after the appropriate employee ID has been entered. If Assistant data is present, it is displayed in a box to the right of the faculty or staff listing. On the listing of the Assistant, a box is present entitled "Assistant to" and it lists the names of the people he/she assists. To see an example of how this works, feel free to check my listing in the directory.
We hope you will find this new function useful. If you have an assistant or you are an assistant to someone else, please update the appropriate directory listings. Updates usually take effect within one business day.
