Dear Colleagues:
I regret to inform you that the Representative Assembly meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 26, 2004 is CANCELLED due to the modest number of items requiring our attention. The affairs of the Academic Senate are very much in progress, however, and we shall have a number of interesting matters to consider when we meet in November. On that occasion, Chancellor Marye Anne Fox will make her first annual address to the Senate. At that meeting, too, our first order of business will be to elect two among the Assembly membership to serve as representatives to the Senate Council. In making a nomination from the floor, please make sure in advance that the person is willing to serve. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at 3:30 p.m., in Garren Auditorium (1105 Basic Science Building). Subsequent meetings are scheduled for January 25, 2005, February 22, 2005, April 26, 2005, and May 24, 2005. I look forward to seeing you on November 30.
