Chancellor's Challenge 5K Run/Walk

As the new Chancellor of UCSD, I am delighted to invite you to join me and the UCSD community in the Chancellor's Challenge 5K Run/Walk for Scholars scheduled for Friday, October 22, 2004. Now in its ninth year, the Chancellor's Challenge has had a direct impact on students' lives by raising more than $1 million for more than 500 scholarships.

Chancellor's Challenge participants may run or walk the 5K course. I'll be walking and UC President Robert Dynes will be back on campus to run the 5K course. We will both donate $25 for every person who finishes the race ahead of President Dynes.

The Chancellor's Challenge 5K Run/Walk will start at 12:15 p.m. from the North Campus Field, adjacent to RIMAC, and continue along a course that weaves through campus. Please contact Dave Koch at (858) 822-5260 to discuss requests for alternative accessibility arrangements or accommodations.
