ALL STUDENTS AT UCSD

SUBJECT:    Vote on Tuesday November 2

Please take the time to vote on Tuesday, November 2. In such an important election year, it is crucial that all students exercise their right to vote. Though the presidential election may be the most prominent race this year, it is vital that the student voice is heard in local and statewide elections as well.

You can locate your polling place by visiting the University of California Student Association (UCSA) Web site at www.ucsa.org, and following the appropriate links. If you live on campus, you will vote at either Gallery A in the Price Center or the Muir Commons.

The UCSA Web site also posts the Voter’s Bill of Rights, which I urge you to look over before you visit the polls. Specifically, if you have registered in San Diego County, but have not yet received your confirmation card in the mail, you have the right to cast a provisional ballot. The Web site also lists the types of identification you may use when asked at the polling sites.

Finally, I encourage you to read the “UCSD Higher Education Voter Guide to Local Elections,” which is posted on the Associated Students Web site (www.as.ucsd.edu) and to look over the many voter education materials and Web sites listed on the back page of the guide.

Thank you, and remember to vote Nov. 2 !
