ADMINISTRATIVE COMPUTING AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS
March 17, 2004
"Sponsored Project Excellence Achieved through Redesign" (SPEAR) was initiated as an internal cooperative UCSD effort to evaluate and implement sponsored project electronic-based innovations. One major initiative of this effort has been the development of Coeus, a campus core relational database that, for the first time, links proposal and award information to the campus core financial system.
Working with Administrative Computing and Telecommunications (ACT) and the Office of Contract and Grant Administration (OCGA), the Coeus Team of SPEAR has developed two QueryLink products. These queries provide authorized departmental users with access to key components of Award data, integrated with Chart of Account (COA) financial data. For more information about the product, please see: http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/awardquery.
The two queries presently available are:
1) Award Data for Departments ~ Summary
Examples of available information include:
+ Award Status & Type
2) Award Data for Departments ~ Details
+ Fund Number
These queries are also available via the Queries sections of FinancialLink and DataLink.
It is important to note that only awards with an active project date of December 31, 2002 and later are available in the data warehouse. Older awards will not be represented in the data warehouse.
Please look for more information and demonstrations of Coeus at the upcoming Sharecase event on March 24, 2004.
