ADMINISTRATIVE COMPUTING AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPEAR ADMINISTRATION April 15, 2004
We are pleased to announce the upcoming release of a new purge process to the ENPET system, beginning April 20, 2004. This new process will delete (purge) older, un-posted ENPET documents on a monthly basis. Documents will be purged based on the status and age of the documents, and an email will be sent to the document's original preparer, notifying them of the purge. The purge process consists of two steps: * The ENPET Purge Process sends out an email notification on the 20th of the month informing document preparers of the status of their un-posted ENPETs. ENPET documents that meet specific criteria will be marked to be purged. * On the 10th of the following month, ENPETs that are marked to be purged, and have had no activity, will be deleted from the system. Details about this new process, including the specific criteria for purge selection, are available in Blink: http://Blink.ucsd.edu/go/enpetpurge For documents that should not be purged, the ENPET Document Maintenance Tool can be used to make corrections. Step-by-step instructions on how to use this tool can be found at the following Blink page: http://Blink.ucsd.edu/go/enpetdocmaint For questions regarding this announcement or the ENPET project, please contact Dan Gilbreath at the Office of Post Award Financial Services (OPAFS), extension 41110 or dgilbreath@ucsd.edu. For technical questions regarding the purge process, please contact Lyle Kafader at extension 46087 or lkafader@ucsd.edu.
