Interim Provost John Muir College 2004-05

Acting Senior Vice Chancellor Miller and I are delighted to announce that Professor Susan Kirkpatrick, Department of Literature, an expert in Spanish literature, has agreed to continue to serve as Interim Provost of John Muir College for the 2004-2005 academic year. Professor Kirkpatrick has been with UCSD since 1971. She served as Chair of the Department of Literature from 1988-1991 and as Associate Chancellor from 1996-2000. She also served as Chair of the Preuss School Board from 2001-2003.

A campus-wide search will be initiated for the next Provost of John Muir College in the fall of 2004. Please join us in thanking Professor Kirkpatrick for her willingness to continue in this important role.
