between High Bay Physics and SERF for West Campus Utility Loop project.

Project Description/Location

As part of UCSD's West Campus Utility Loop infrastructure upgrade, chilled water lines, high temperature piping, gas lines and telecommunication lines will be installed in Lyman Lane and in the area between High Bay Physics and SERF Building.

Immediate Street Impacts

Beginning on 3/29/04 and continuing through 4/24/04, a segment of Lyman Lane near Lot P405 will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Pedestrians will be redirected by signs around the construction area.

The contractor will be using heavy construction equipment between High Bay Physics and SERF, and noise will be continuous all day. The contractor will work 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, to complete this work on schedule. This work is critical to the opening of the Multipurpose Building. This portion of the work will be complete 4/24/04.

Subsequent Street Impacts

Upon completion of the above work, the contractor will return to normal hours, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., to repair streets and install landscape and hardscape site improvements. This portion of the work is expected to occur 4/26/04 through 4/30/04, during which the areas listed above will remain closed.
