UCSD recognizes outstanding and deserving staff through a number of initiatives, including staff employee incentive awards. These awards recognize and reward excellence in university service.
Two categories of staff employee incentive awards include:
1) the systemwide Employee Incentive Award Program, comprising cash bonuses funded through a mandatory assessment of eligible payroll; and
2) the local campus award programs, including cash, gifts, gift certificates and professional development funded by a vice chancellor or department.
Eligible employees may participate in both categories. At present, the University and CUE are in wage negotiations; therefore, exclusively represented Clerical employees are currently ineligible to receive cash bonuses (category #1) pending completion of negotiations. These employees may receive awards, both cash and non-cash, funded by a vice chancellor or department (category #2).
For details about campuswide program implementation, refer to the guidelines at http://www-hr.ucsd.edu/notice/incentive_award_program.html .
For more specific information about your area, consult the Employee Incentive Award program guidelines issued by the respective vice chancellor's office.
To obtain a payment under the 2003-04 Staff Employee Incentive Award Program, send award payment authorization forms to the Payroll Office. The Payroll Office must receive forms by Monday, June 7, 2004.
If you have questions about this program, please contact your Vice Chancellor Award Program Coordinator or Judy Johnson, Compensation Manager, at (858) 534-0986 or email@example.com.
